Whatwver the reason children come to the woods to access our programmes, we aim to incorporate the Forest School ethos into all our activities and sessions, offering a learner-centered approach wherever possible. We strive to use these skills to help children overcome the previous experiences, and often traumas, to become positive and pro-active learners.
Children can attend from any age and we help to design a bespoke learning package to suit the needs of the child. We help them to understand their emotions, theirn triggers and behaviours, so they can learn to self regulate and management techniques. We believe in building trusted relationships and being 'emotionally available adults' to support and enable theraputic conversations.
An out door setting is proven to have a positive effect on wellbeing and can provide a safe and changing environment, promoting confidence, self esteem and helping to generate resilience and reduce stress and anxiety.
We are now a Trauma Informed Schools (TIS) organisation, specifically designed to support emotional wellbeing as we believe this best supports a child's development and aids their return to a school setting. We have long term relationships with not only pupils (some have been attending for several years) but with many local schools and Multi Academy Trusts in Cornwall.
Please email email@example.com we are now taking bookings for September 2020. We have limited availability for these sessions.
